Our Story

Founders of Dar Katrine at their lodge

The dream of Dar Katrine began in 2007, when I first visited Saint Catherine. There was something about the silence of the mountains, the light, the groundedness of the place that made me feel at home in a way I hadn't before. Years later, I met Bassma, who felt the same pull toward this sacred land. Together, we began to imagine a space, not just to stay in, but to belong to. Over seven years, we shaped that vision into a home, building slowly, intentionally, with a deep respect for the landscape and the life around it.

Now, we've opened our doors, not just to the lodge, but to the feeling behind it. We built Dar Katrine for ourselves, but we share it with those who seek stillness, simplicity, and meaning. Our hope is that you fall in love with Saint Catherine first, and then with the quiet comfort of the lodge. This place gave us so much. We'd be honored if it gives something to you, too.
